Dragon boaters 55km challenge

Eight Tatiara locals have teamed up with eight others to take part in the annual Ord river paddle in Kununurra, WA.

The 55km marathon paddle is run down the mighty Ord River from Lake Argyle to Kununurra and will be held on June 11.

RACING: Locals give Dragon Boat racing a go on the Bordertown Recreation Lake on February 21. The boats were out on the water again last Sunday and hope to make up a team for the Masters Games in April.

THE Tatiara is calling for more crew members to enter a Dragon Boat racing team into the Masters Games in April.

Locals had the chance to try their hand at the sport at the Bordertown Recreation Lake on February 21 and again last Sunday.

LOCALS will have the chance to try and new and exciting sport, Dragon Boat Racing, at the Bordertown Recreation Lake on February 21.

The “Come and Try” day will start at 10am and will be run by Heather Graetz, who hopes to get a club up and running and enter a team in the Master Games at Murray Bridge in April.
